MEST partners Absa to launch the 2022 MEST AFRICA CHALLENGE
Meet and compete with Africa’s finest technology startups towards building a better business!
At MEST, we are always excited to provide tech startups on the continent with a platform to harness their unique value, showcase their innovation and build networks that lead to better business.
Since 2018, the “MEST Africa Challenge”, popularly known as “MAC”, has been a platform that has empowered business savvy and ambitious tech entrepreneurs to take the stage and pitch great business solutions that tackle the most pertinent issues on the continent.
We are delighted to launch the 4th edition of the MEST Africa Challenge in partnership with Absa Bank, Africa’s leading financial service provider. This year marks another exciting occasion to showcase some of the continent’s most promising startups.
The MEST Africa Challenge ’22 is inviting pre-seed and seed stage technology startups from Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, Nigeria, and South Africa to contest for a chance to raise USD 50,000 in funding, among other prizes. MAC presents a unique opportunity to build valuable networks and gain international visibility, crucial for a growing business.
Under the theme: #BetterBusiness, the startups from these countries go through 3 stages: Stage 1 — online application and screening,
Stage 2 — regional finals in each country and
Stage 3 — final Demo Day Pitch event in Accra Ghana on December 1st, 2022.
The ultimate winner walks away with a grand prize of equity funding worth USD 50,000.
Speaking on the 2022 edition of the competition, MEST Africa’s Director of Portfolio, Melissa Nsiah said:
“We are excited to bring back this competition to give more African Startups a platform to showcase and build on their unique value in an era where African startups and innovations are taking center stage and gaining global recognition and investments.
